Digital Signature is like manual signature which establishes the identity of the person filing the documents through internet. Any person or the company wishes to file the documents or eforms online has to get Digital Signature. A documents once digitally signed cannot be modified thereafter until the signature will be deleted. DSC is normally valid for 1 or 2 years.

Types of Digital Signature :


Class 2 Certificate: These certificates will be issued for both business personnel and private individuals use. These certificates will confirm that the information in the application provided by the subscriber does not conflict with the information in well-recognized consumer databases. These signature are required by :


Ø  Directors for filling ROC and Income Tax

Ø  Professionals

Ø  Bank Officials

Ø  Other Authorized Signatories

Ø  Individuals for filling Income Tax Returns.



Documents required :


For Class 2 DSC :


Ø  Copy of PAN

Ø  Copy of Voter ID, Driving License, Adhar Card, Passport, Electricity Bill, Bank Statement. (Electricity Bill, Bank Statement should not be older than 2 months)

Ø  In Case of foreign National, Passport is mandatory. Passport and Address Proof of the foreign National Shall be apostille or Notarized for his Home Country

(In case of Indian National, All the Documents shuld be attasted by Bank Manager, Gazatted officer or Post Master .)
